How to make a follow-along audio workout with AI voices

Produce a coached, follow-along audio workout — timed cues, rep counts, and motivation — without ever recording your voice.

A follow-along audio workout is the one piece of content people genuinely use mid-movement. Nobody reads a workout plan while doing burpees, but they will happily put in their earbuds and let a coach count them down through every set. A clear voice cueing the next exercise, calling the seconds, and pushing you through the last rep is what turns a written routine into a session people actually finish.

The Workout Narration template is built to produce exactly that. You give it your routine — a warm-up, the work blocks with reps or timed intervals, and a cooldown — and Pollinator Studio writes a coaching script, voices it with an energetic AI trainer, and mixes it over a driving music bed. No recording, no editing software, and no need to talk through 40 minutes of squats yourself. You get a clean MP3 you can hand to clients or publish to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Amazon Music.

How to make one with Pollinator Studio

  1. 1

Start from the Workout Narration template

One click opens the Fitness preset, already tuned for an upbeat coaching voice, motivational delivery, and a session-length structure with a warm-up, work blocks, and a cooldown.

  2. 2

    Drop in your routine

Paste your workout — the exercises, reps or interval times, and rest periods — or describe the session as a topic ('30-minute trail run intervals' or 'home HIIT, no equipment'). The AI turns it into a spoken, cue-by-cue coaching script.

  3. 3

    Pick your coach voice

The default is Fenrir, a high-energy lead coach. Preview any of the 73 voices, set a punchy delivery style and a slightly faster pace for the work blocks, or add Nova as a second voice for cooldown and breathing cues.

  4. 4

    Tune the script and timing

Edit any line so the rep counts, exercise names, and rest intervals match your program exactly. Tighten the intro hook, adjust the countdowns, and set the total length to your real session — 10, 20, or 45 minutes.

  5. 5

    Add music and cover art

Choose a driving background bed from the 83-track licensed library and set its volume so the coach stays clearly on top. Generate or upload cover art that matches your brand or the workout type.

  6. 6

    Render and publish

Pollinator Studio voices each segment and mixes the full session in a couple of minutes. Download the MP3 to send to clients, load onto a class playlist, or one-click distribute via your RSS feed to Spotify, Apple, and Amazon Music.

Make it your own

The Workout Narration template is ready to use as-is — one click and you're generating. But every part is editable: swap any of the 73 AI voices and set each host's delivery and pace, change the background music, edit the AI script and intro/outro prompts, set the length, and add your own or AI-generated cover art. Use it as-is, or swap to a higher-energy coach voice, set a pumped-up delivery and faster pace, change the music to match the workout intensity, edit the AI script so the exercises and rep counts fit your program, set the exact session length, add your own cover art — then save it as a reusable custom template for every future session.

Tips for a great fitness episode

  • Write the script in real time — say 'three, two, one, go' and count down rest periods out loud so listeners can move without looking at a screen.
  • Match the music energy to the block: heavier, faster beds for the work sets, something lighter for the warm-up and cooldown.
  • Keep coaching cues short and imperative — 'drive through your heels', 'breathe out on the push' — long sentences get lost mid-exercise.
  • Add pronunciation rules for exercise names you use often (e.g. specific machines or moves) so the coach says them correctly every session.
  • Build one template per workout type — HIIT, mobility, trail run — and save each so a new session is a 30-second edit.

Frequently asked questions

Can the audio actually time my exercises?

Yes — write the timing into the script. Have the coach count down work and rest intervals out loud ('20 seconds left… 10… last 5'), so the audio paces the whole session hands-free.

Do I need to record my own voice as a trainer?

No. The coach is an AI voice, so there's no recording and no editing. You write or generate the routine and choose how the coach sounds, including an energetic, motivating delivery.

Can I make different versions for the gym, home, and trail?

Yes. Edit the routine and music for each setting, then save each as its own custom template — you can spin up a new home or trail session in seconds.

How long can a session be?

Set any length you need. Short 10-minute mobility flows or full 45-minute HIIT and interval sessions all render the same way; just set the target duration before you generate.

Can clients listen offline at the gym?

Yes — download the finished MP3 and send it directly, or publish via RSS so clients can subscribe and download episodes for offline listening on their phones.
